Home Health Aide

Job Description

We are hiring a compassionate and dependable Home Health Aide to provide essential care and daily living assistance to clients in their homes. This position plays a critical role in supporting individuals who are elderly, disabled, or recovering from illness, helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and independence in their daily lives.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

• Support clients with mobility, including transferring from bed to chair or walking assistance

• Help with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up living areas

• Prepare and serve meals based on dietary needs and preferences

• Monitor vital signs and report changes in health or behavior to supervising nurse or family members

• Provide medication reminders and ensure clients follow care plans

• Offer companionship and emotional support through conversation and engagement

• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or short outings if needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Completion of a Home Health Aide training program or relevant certification (HHA or CNA preferred)

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred

• Prior experience providing personal or home care support is a plus

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Physical ability to lift, support, and assist clients as needed

• Patience, empathy, and a strong sense of responsibility

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if travel is required)

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Pay Rate: $15 – $22 per hour, depending on experience and location
